About Us

The Club

The 'Old Crocs' have had a cricket team since the late 1970s and are affiliated with the Old Crossleyans Club. The Old Crossleyans Club proudly boasts Rugby Union and Squash Clubs, whilst also housing local adult and junior Rugby League teams - King Cross Park.

The Old Crossleyans Cricket Club (OCCC) are currently associated with the Halifax Cricket League and have 3 adult teams - 1st XI, 2nd XI, Sunday Section - and 2 junior teams - under 11's, under 15s.

In recent years the 1st XI have yo-yo'd between the Halifax Cricket League Premier Division and the many times renamed First Division, recently winning the latter in 2007 and 2005. The past 2 seasons have seen them establish themselves (for now) in the Premier Division. The 2nd XI have also had highs and lows recently but are currently looking to get out of their leagues' 2nd Division. The Sunday Section team are full of youth and vibracy, and is the team used mainly to blood young, up and coming Juniors - the future of the club

We will be looking to get some information on our early days from some of our older follwers and President shortly, so watch this space....

The Site

This site has been written for the cricket section to allow contribution, to be informative, and also to allow players and other interested to track both team and personal performances for the club.

The site is currenlty in its infancy having been born in August 2009. We are currently looking to make improvements and populate the site with historical facts and figures - any volunteers in doing this are appreciated. We will also be looking for contributions for the message board and photos sections - which are only accessible by approved members of the website.

Everyone is encouraged to register as there are extra, 'Members Only' sections. However, your registration will need to be approved, so please be patient while this is done.

If you have any questions, recommendations, or constructive feedback, please don't hesitate to contact me. Likewise if you find any bugs (thats errors to the older people) please let me know.
